Our rabbi, David Gaffney, comes to CFSA
after twenty-nine years as rabbi of the Jacksonville (Florida) Jewish Center.
As JJC's rabbi he created programs and taught the community's children
in the local Solomon Schechter School and in the synagogue's Hebrew and
pre-schools.
Rabbi Gaffney has also distinguished himself in youth and community outreach, family and adult education, community building, and Jewish cultural program organizing. His own educational accomplishments include Smicha from Yeshiva Rav Jacob Joseph, a BA in Psychology from Brooklyn College, an MA in Jewish philosophy from Yeshiva University, doctoral course work at Columbia University, and Doctor of Divinity from the Jewish Theological Seminary. |
